The "add-a-stroke" rule
For stronger sounds, just add ONE stroke: ㄱ→ㅋ, ㄴ→ㄷ→ㅌ, ㅁ→ㅂ→ㅍ, ㅅ→ㅈ→ㅊ, ㅇ→ㆆ→ㅎ. The louder the sound, the more strokes — a perfect system.
